I loved this book and in fact scheduled a session with Karen when I was only about a third of the way thru. That experience was fabulous and fascinating. She helped tremendously with a problem one of my dear cats had. He was in great pain and was "wetting the bed" (peeing outside of his box) and I loved how Karen communicated what he had to say about his issues. With that knowledge I was able to go back to our Vet and get the help needed to fix the problems. Karen's advice and communication definitely led to a diagnosis and resolution that the Vet had initially missed.But back to the book....I think even skeptics, like my dear husband, would enjoy it...as he did. Karen tells some great stories about her animal clients that are not only entertaining and enlightening, but can most likely help almost anyone who has pets. She's is not only a great story-teller, but a fantastic animal communicator and facilitator of medical diagnosis. I highly recommend this book... plus another one she co-wrote with psychologist, Dr. Patricia Carrington, called "The Secret Inner Life of Pets". In full disclosure, Dr. Carrington is a personal friend and colleague of mine. However, that doesn't diminish my review of Karen's book nor the joint work they did on "The Secret Inner Live of Pets". If you love your critters, you'll love both books.
The minute I picked this book up I couldn't put it down! Each and every story had a message of hope and inspiration. I had no idea the pets we love and hold dear to our hearts not only have the ability to know and understand our feelings and emotions, but enter our lives for a reason. I feel I have been given a great gift in reading this book!
Karen has done several readings for me on several of my deceased animals and she is very compassionate and usually able to connect with their energy and be right on. If you have lost a beloved pet, fear not as they have not perished but now exist in another form and visit you whether you are aware of this or not. They have souls and they live on and this book is very inspiring for those who need reassurance that their very loved pet is Ok.
The author provided delightful, touching stories that provided insight into what an animal communicator does and how such communication can have such a profound impact into the lives of people and animals. Her sensitive and spiritual approach in her communication with animals can be felt within the words on the pages to the extent that you could feel the stories as well as understand them. A wonderful read and I look forward to seeing more from this author!
After crying through most of this book I realized the tears were from knowing, deep down, that this is all true. Anyone going through sadness because of a loss of a non-human part of their family should read this book.
This is a very uplifting book. It has given me a deepened appreciation of how the things I say and do affect my babies. I now make more of an effort to tell them how beautiful they are, how good they are, and how much I love and appreciate them. Letting them go is excruciating even when I know the they live on in spirit. But this book reassures me that my beloved friends are always with me.
Great book and Karen is a wonderful person. I enjoyed this book and have had a reading with her. She is gifted, compassionate and a sweet person. This really helped me after my dog passed away.
I enjoyed this book very much and I believe there are people who can communicate with animals. Awesome! This book will comfort someone who has lost a pet.
